LINKIN PARK: Video Footage Of CHESTER BENNINGTON's Ankle-Breaking Incident

LINKIN PARK has uploaded the latest episode of LPTV, also known as Linkin Park TV, a series of short videos capturing the band's life on the road and in the studio. The eight-minute clip, which can be seen below, includes footage of LINKIN PARK singer Chester Bennington breaking his ankle during a basketball game earlier this year, resulting in the cancelation of the band's U.S. tour.

Speaking to Altwire, Bennington stated about the incident: "If I tripped, I would not have broken my ankle. [laughs] I probably would have probably just kicked the bottle over, or tripped. I actually was playing basketball and went up for a lay-up and came down on top of the water bottle."

The Pulse Of Radio asked Bennington a while back if he does anything special to get himself in shape for the road. "I really try to work out a lot," he said. "I try to sing a lot. I don't like to go on tour and be kind of cold, I like to go out kind of feeling a little worn out already, so I really try to push my body a little bit more intensely the few days before the first show. By the time I get to, like, my second or third show on a tour is when I start to feel like, 'Okay, now I've got the rhythm.' So I decided that if I do that before I leave, if I try to get myself a little exhausted before I go, then I'm usually pretty good."

LINKIN PARK was touring in support of its sixth studio album, "The Hunting Party", which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard album chart when it came out last June.
